DMCA & Copyright
If you believe a file on this site infringes your copyright or trademark, tell us and we will act quickly. Complete notices are usually actioned within two business days.
Before you file
Most problems get fixed faster with a short email. If a design copies your artwork or uses a brand, character or logo you own, send the page link to dmca@freesvgshop.com and we will pull it while we look into it. We do not need a lawyer involved to remove something that should not be here.
How to file a formal notice
Email dmca@freesvgshop.com with the subject line "DMCA takedown request" and include all of the following, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, with a link or copy of the original if possible.
- The exact URL(s) on freesvgshop.com where the material appears.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Trademark complaints
Send trademark issues to the same address with your registration number or a link to the registration, the mark itself and the page URL. We also keep a blocklist of trademarked terms that prevents matching designs from being published in the first place, and we add new terms as they are reported.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your notice by email.
- Files in a complete notice are removed or made non-public, usually within two business days.
- The design page returns a 410 and is dropped from our sitemap.
- Repeat infringement by a contributor ends their ability to submit files.
Counter notices
If your file was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter notice to the same address including the removed file's URL, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district.
Report anything else
